Abstract
6-Deoxy-6-fluoroglucose (GFG) at 0.005 [image] to 0.12 [image] was an effective inhibitor of the oxidation of glucose. At the higher concentrations of (GFG) the inhibition curve of glucose oxidation approaches a maximum of 75% and 50% for adipose and diaphragm tissues respectively. These results have been interpreted to mean that two or more pathways previous to the hexokinase reaction appear to exist for oxidation of glucose in the tissues. Keywords
