Abstract
Pre-treatment incidence of moniliasis was low in Trichomonas vaginalis infection, but post treatment examination revealed higher incidence. The low pretreatment incidence may reflect inhibition of Candida albicans by T. vaginalis. Post-treatment finding of C. albicans is believed to be an-index of cure of T. vaginalis. The failure-recurrence rate of trichomonal infection was 17% in the acetarsone group and 6% in the metronidazole group. Monilia was found post treatment in 13% of the acetarsone group and 19% of the metronidazole group. Keywords
