Parasitism of the Leaf Miner Liriomyza munda in the Winter Garden Area of Texas1

Abstract

A leaf miner attacking economic crops in the “winter garden area” of Texas was identified as Liriomyza munda Frick. It was found infesting 23 hosts. Twenty-one species of hymenopterous parasites belonging to 4 families were identified attacking the leaf miner. The parasites were differentiated as to when they kill the leaf miner and parasitism was recorded.
