Pyrethrins resistance in Blattella germanica (L.) has been examined with respect to its development, inheritance mechanism, and linkage association. Laboratory and field-collected strains were tested to determine the extent and Level of resistance. A maximum of 75 × resistance Le50 was found. The most resistant strain was crossed with an unmarked susceptible strain and 2 susceptible marked strains. The progeny from subsequent generations were tested for resistance to pyrethrins: piperonyl but oxide (1:10 vol/vol) using a dipping technique and were classified by markers in linkage tests. The results showed that pyrethrins resistance (R-Pyr) is inherited as a simple autosomal incompletely dominant trait. Link age studies proved that R-Pyr is linked with the Group VI trait pallid eye at a distance of 32.8±0.9 units.
