A Virtual Machine Monitor for a PDP 11/40 mini-computer is being developed for research purposes. A Virtual I/O module, and a portion of the VMM Kernal have been developed. The VMM provides virtual I/O to several I/O devices like Disc, tape, printer, etc. via an X-Bus connected to a PDP/10. The VMM also provides multiple virtual machine structures so that these virtual devices can be divided among various virtual machines in any desired manner. (Author)
