Superdense high-temperature exploded-wire plasma observations in a high-current vacuum diode

Abstract
Experiments are described in which a high-current electron accelerator is used to generate, by Al wire explosion, super-high-density (Ne=5*1022 cm-3), high-temperature (Te approximately=400 eV) plasmas. The X-ray emission characteristics of the plasma are analysed.
