Abstract
Although the antibiotic griseofulvin affects fungi possessing chitin in their cell wall, it is unlikely that the presence of chitin is the sole prerequisite for the action of the antibiotic. This note reports the presence of chitin in the cell wall of P. patulum, when it was grown under conditions which permitted the production of griseofulvin. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
