Abstract
64 Oklahoma quail were examined to determine the incidence of Eimeria spp. 2 released hatchery bobwhites were infected; 22 wild bobwhites were 31.8% infected, while 32 captive bobwhites were 53.1% infected. None of 8 scaled quail was infected. Females had a higher intensity of infection than males. Wild bobwhites had a higher intensity, but a lower % of infection, than captive bobwhites. One sp. was identified as E. dispersa Tyzzer and the oocysts and intestinal stages were studied and descr., using material from exptl. birds.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
