Abstract
Describes the use of single-crystal sapphire containers used in neutron-scattering experiments on liquid aluminium, copper and nickel up to temperatures of about 1900K. After proper orientation, the containers do not show any prominent coherent peaks, thus reducing the problems with corrections for container scattering considerably. Keywords
