Abstract
Urinary chorionic gonadotropin (MCG) excretion during early pregnancy was determined by bioassay in 2 series of pregnant rhesus monkeys (M. mulatta). Twenty-four urine samples were obtained daily beginning on days 12-15 through days 25-26 of pregnancy. Although urinary MCG was found as early as the 13th day of pregnancy in some monkeys, hormone was not demonstrable in others until the 18th or 20th day.
