Abstract
Landrigan et al. (Oct. 28 issue)1 show that reducing interns' work hours in the intensive care unit (ICU) decreased serious medical errors, probably prompting widespread reevaluation of traditional ICU on-call schedules. No one would argue that limiting work hours is not a vitally important topic. However, having experienced the intervention schedule firsthand as intern subjects in the study, we have serious concerns about the authors' conclusions. Keywords
