Abstract
We describe a perturbation theory for molecular fluids based on a hard ellipsoid reference system. Numerical results indicate that the theory performs better than an earlier non-spherical reference system theory using a hard dumbell reference system. As the new theory uses only hard sphere correlation functions, it is much more economical of computer time than the earlier theory. Keywords
