Abstract
Material obtained from the inferior oblique muscle proved to give the best preparations for histological and histochemical investigation. The normal aspects of inferior oblique muscle are discussed. The usefulness of inferior oblique muscle biopsy in pathological material is illustrated by a biopsy of a 6-year-old boy operated on for strabismus due to congenital third nerve palsy. Keywords
