Abstract
Two experiments conducted with laying hens indicated that Terramycin (oxytetracycline) was more efficiently used when given at midnight than when fed at 6:00 A. M. Hens also absorbed OTC administered in water better than OTC given in the feed. It is suggested that antibiotic treatment would be more effective when administered in the water than when administered in feed because the sick hen may have a greater intake of OTC and higher serum levels. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
