Abstract
Amphiphilic matrices are synthesized by sequential graft copolymerization of crosslinked gelatin with methyl methacrylate and acrylic acid. Samples with a varying lipophilic to hydrophilic ratio (L/H values) could be synthesized by adjusting the grafting conditions. The materials have been extensively characterized with respect to their L/H values, frequency of grafting, molecular weights of the grafts, and swelling pattern. DSC and IR data are also presented. Keywords
