Abstract
DISODIUM etidronate has been reported to be effective in the management of calcification due to myositis ossificans progressiva1 , 2 and dermatomyositis.3 , 4 We have evaluated the efficacy of this agent in the treatment of ectopic calcification due to dermatomyositis and scleroderma in six patients for periods up to one year.Patients and ProtocolThree patients with ectopic calcification due to dermatomyositis and three with calcinosis secondary to scleroderma were studied.
