Meteorological Rocketsonde Equipment and Techniques

Abstract
In the near future wind and temperature data at heights above 200,000 ft will be made generally available. This paper is designed to acquaint meteorologists with vehicles, sensors and reduction techniques used in collecting these data. The problems involved in establishing a rocketsonde network modeled after the radiosonde network are discussed.
