Is the Pomeranchon a Fixed Pole?

Abstract
It is shown that the Mandelstam cut mechanism, which allows the existence of fixed poles at negative values of angular momentum, is not sufficient to allow the Pomeranchon to have zero slope. It is suggested that this fact makes it unlikely that the Pomeranchon is a fixed pole.Keywords
