Abstract
Dinitrophenyl-human serum albumin (DNP-HSA) preparations activate C3 via the alternate pathway of the complement system depending on the grade of DNP substitution. This potency seems to be due to the polyanionic character of DNP-HSA and thus resembles in its behavior other polyanions. Keywords
