Abstract
There is an increasing awareness of the need to examine data distribution or assumptions prior to performing statistical analyses. If the data display evidence of violating assumption(s), the researcher can perform data transformation. This article focuses on explaining data transformations, discussing common transformations, providing rationale for performing them, and discussing interpretation of the transformation when results are presented. Keywords
