Abstract
A brief analysis is undertaken of the statistics of lattice animals (connected clusters) of n cells, and the results are applied to the site percolation problem. Recent proposals by Stauffer (1975) and Leath (1976) are examined, and an alternative interpretation is offered of the relation between percolation critical exponents and cluster statistics. Keywords
