Two patients with chronic spinal subdural hematomas are described. Both had a fluctuating clinical course, not previously documented in the literature. Surgical evacuation resulted in almost complete recovery. The pathogenesis of spinal subdural hematoma is discussed and the pertinent literature is reviewed. Keywords
