Abstract
Progesterone was incubated with 105000 ×g liver microsome preparations from adult male rats and the hydroxylated 3‐oxo‐δ4‐steroids formed were isolated and identified by thin‐layer chromatography and gas chromatography‐mass spectrometry. The following compounds were characterized: 2α‐, 6β‐, 6α‐, 7α‐, 15α‐, 15β‐ and 16α‐hydroxyprogesterone.Keywords
