Abstract
Oxygen concentrations in the National Bureau of Standards Coal and Ash Standard Reference Materials (SRM Nos. 1632, 1633, 1632a, 1633a, 1635) are reported. Values are also reported for several commercially available standard coals. Analytical aspects of the 14 MeV instrumental neutron activation analysis technique are discussed, along with considerations on the selection of calibration standards and pre-analysis sample handling techniques. Keywords
