Abstract
Blood samples were collected from 13 dairy cows on the following days of estrous cycle: estrus, 0 days; metestrus, 2 days; diestrus, 8 days; and proestrus, 16 days. The anticipated influence of the female hormones which fluctuate during a normal estrous cycle, had no apparent effect on the blood serum activity of LDH [lactate dehydrogenase] and its isozymes, phosphatase, and GP-T [glucose-6-phosphate transaminate]. However, GO-T [glucoseoxaloacetic-transaminase] variation encountered during a normal estrous cycle suggests a reflection on the hormonal changes during a normal estrous cycle. Keywords
