Abstract
This study consists of a synthesis on the following two themes : the reality and origin of the typology of the etesians. Certain authors deny the effect of thermal depression. On the contrary, others maintain that this center of action plays the main part in the establishment of the etesians. According to our results, the etesians have several possible origins. Sometimes, there are common characteristics between North winds of the summer season and those blowing during the other seasons.
