Abstract
The authors report on ten years of experience in ureteroneocystostomies on 80 ureters in 50 children suffering from vesicoureteral reflux. Complete follow-up was obtained in all cases. Postoperative radiograms revealed cure of reflux in 85 per cent of the renal units. A slightly modified Politano-Leadbetter procedure was used in all of the cases. Postoperative urinary tract infection occurred in 13 patients. This relatively low success rate is discussed briefly. Keywords
