Abstract
Hepatic arteriography is a practical and useful modality in the mapping of the normal hepatic arterial tree and in the diagnosis of hepatic disease, particularly primary and secondary neoplasms. The criteria for the diagnosis of hepatic neoplasia are: tumor vessels, tumor stains, stretching, displacement, or distortion of otherwise normal hepatic arteries, and radiolucent defects in homogeneously opacified hepatic parenchyma. Intra-arterial nor-epinephrine in small doses prior to the injection of contrast material potentiates the radiographic findings in vascular tumors.
