Using the Microcomputer as a Tool for Learning to Read and Write

Abstract
The microcomputer has proven to be a critical learning tool for the development of reading and writing skills by the learning disabled children in our project. Our experience suggests that software programs such as word processors offer new advantages to those acquiring mastery of literacy. This technology may be the bridge to enable these inquiring youngsters adequate opportunities for learning so their efforts can be rewarded by success.
