Abstract
The analysis of an adaptive detection algorithm described previously by the author (1985, 1986) is extended. Previously, the performance was evaluated for the case of a signal corresponding exactly to the steering vector used in the derivation of the algorithm. Here the performance for signals arriving from other directions is evaluated. It is shown that these signals are rejected much more strongly than would be suggested by the sidelobe levels of the adapted patterns themselves.
