Abstract
Hornblende deformation twins with twin planes parallel to (¯101) are produced experimentally in single crystals by compression parallel to the c axis. Twinning occurs at confining pressures from 5 to 15 kilobars and temperatures from 400° to 600°C (strain rate, 10-5 per second). Keywords
