Abstract
Explicit solutions are given for edge waves on a sloping beach in an exponentially stratified fluid. The lowest mode, Stoke's edge wave, is found to be completely insensitive to the density field. The higher modes show that previous restrictions on slope angle etc., no longer apply. Keywords
