Abstract
In order to study the kinetics of the order-disorder transition in Mn, we investigated the time dependence of the (110) superlattice peak by neutron scattering techniques. The integrated intensity and the peak width were measured for various types of temperature-change sequences. The time dependence of the intensity was found to be strongly affected by the size of the ordered region, and it is shown to be described by a phenomenological model involving a relaxational-time dependence modified by the size effect.
