Abstract
The director field of the nematic liquid crystal in a twisted cell is obtained theoretically in the case of an electric field perpendicular to the cell and a Poiseuille flow of the liquid crystal. Equations governing the director field are solved numerically, and the electric capacitance of the cell is calculated. The results agree well with previous measurements by one of the authors.Keywords
