Abstract
Mesitylcopper(I)(CuMes)n was shown by an X-ray analysis to be a cyclic pentameric arylcopper(I) complex (CuMes)5 in the solid state, which undergoes ring contraction with tetrahydrothiophene to the corresponding tetrameric species [Cu4Mes4(C4H8S)2], the structure of which has been found by X-ray crystallography. Keywords
