Abstract
An infrared spectroscopic study of partially deuterated pentaborane samples prepared by exchanging deuterium between diborane and pentaborane has been made. A comparison of these data with corresponding mass spectroscopic measurements shows that when this exchange takes place at 80°C only the nonbridge hydrogen positions in the pentaborane are involved. Keywords
