Abstract
Phase equilibria in the rubidium—graphite system were studied by means of the Knudsen effusion method in conjunction with a tracer technique. A new compound, C10Rb, analogous to the compound C10Cs, was observed. Vapor‐pressure measurements were made in the various two‐phase regions in the rubidium—graphite system at temperatures from 350° to 750°C. Thermodynamic properties were calculated from the data and are compared to the corresponding values in the cesium—graphite system. Keywords
