Abstract
The adsorption of linuron on humic acid saturated with various cations (Fe3+, Al3+, Cu2+, Zn3+, Ni3+, Ca3+, H+) can be best represented by the Freundlich-type isotherm. The relatively low values of ‘isosteric’ heat of adsorption is consistent with a physical type of adsorption. Infrared spectroscopy failed to show coordination of linuron to cations on humic acid. © Williams & Wilkins 1974. All Rights Reserved.
