Abstract
Six patients with disseminated breast cancer and cardiac tamponade were treated with a pleuropericardial window and in four patients with systemic chemotherapy. The median survival of these six patients was 17 months (range 1-50 months). These results indicate that aggressive therapy in patients with cardiac tamponade and breast cancer can lead to prolonged survivals. Keywords
