Abstract
An attempt is made to explain the phenomenon of condensation of the gas, on the basis of the classical mechanical model of a gas. The condensation of the gas is connected with a change in the topological structure of the energy surface in the -dimensional phase space. This occurs when the total energy is zero. The agreement with experiment is satisfactory.
