Abstract
Three generic names, Cydia, Laspeyresia, and Carpocapsa are currently used for the codling moth. Cydia is recognized as the valid name because of the junior homonymy of Laspeyresia and junior synonymy of both Laspeyresia and Carpocapsa. The valid tribal name for Cydia is Grapholitini, rather than Laspeyresiini. All known synonyms of Cydia are given with references to original descriptions and type-species designations. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
