Abstract
Endrin granules and dust and ryania dust were tested for control of the sugar-cane borer (Diatraea saccharalis (F.)) in corn at Angleton, Texas, in 1956. All 3 reduced infestations, granules being the most and ryania the least effective. Yield of corn was increased threefold with both endrin formulations, and ryania gave a smaller increase. The treatments were too expensive for use on corn of the same yield potential, but the results indicate the possibility of developing practical insecticidal control measures. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
