Abstract
The main mechanisms in red cell (R.C.) destruction are probably intravascular hemolysis, intravas. agglutn. with mechanical trauma acting on the R.C. clumps, with sequestration and hemolysis, and phagocytosis of R.B.Cs. coated with globulin. There may be other mechanisms, such as fragmentation, for the removal of sensitized cells. Keywords
