Preparation and Structure of a Mixed Benzenethiolatosulfido Trinuclear Nickel Complex

Abstract
X-Ray structure analysis of [Ni3S(SPh)6]2− has revealed that a central μ3-S and three Ni atoms form a trigonal pyramid, a μ-SPh ligand bridges each pair of the three Ni atoms situated at the apexes of a triangle, and each Ni is terminally coordinated by SPh, completing a trinuclear complex. The stereochemistry around Ni is tetrahedrally distorted square planar.
