Abstract
In reviewing the list of milk-borne epidemics of septic sore throat in the U. S. A., wide disparities were noted in the number reported from different states, which can not be accounted for by differences in population. From consideration of the length of time commonly elapsing between beginning of an outbreak and its "discovery" by health authorities of New York State, it is probable that the observed disparities are due to epidemics having been overlooked. The author has no definite recommendations for correction of this condition.
