Abstract
Investigations were carried out on a copse of sycamore trees and a line of chestnut trees to determine the amount of penetration at 11.2 and 20 GHz when the vegetation is not in leaf. A maximum attenuation rate model and a nonzero gradient model are used to fit measured data and are compared. Keywords
