Abstract
The flask method for combustion of organic samples has been applied to a number of iodine-containing substances of pharmaceutical interest including the non-staining iodine ointments. The method is both rapid and simple and the accuracy and precision of the results obtained show that it is suitable for routine control purposes and possibly for consideration as an official assay procedure. Keywords
