Abstract
A calculation is presented in which spin and isotopic spin are combined within one larger symmetry. By treating the spin symmetry in a novel way the theory is made completely relativistic. Excellent agreement with experiment is achieved and, in particular, the experimentally well verified form equality between the electric and magnetic form factors of the proton emerges as a natural consequence of the theory. Keywords
