Abstract
The distr. of squirrels was surveyed in 23 counties and the West Riding of Yorkshire. New records of presence of the grey squirrel show it to have spread into further 199 squares in the 10 km. national grid. The red squirrel was not reported from 241 squares in which it was said to occur in 1944-45. In 8 counties red squirrels would seem to have disappeared from areas where grey squirrels have been established since 1945.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
