Abstract
Whenever a metal is made, the cathode in a dilute sulfuric acid bath the transmission of hydrogen may be observed by means of its reaction with oxygen of the air. A more detailed study of the transmission through palladium shows that the area of the surface at which the hydrogen leaves is the principal controlling factor.
